Materials Processing and Characterization Lab

The prime research interest of the Materials Processing and Characterization Lab is to understand material behavior and its relationship with microstructural characteristics, manufacturing processes, and its application environment.

Under the direction of Jinjing Li, William and Wendy Korb Early Career Professor, the focus of the lab's research lies at the intersection of experimental mechanics and materials science with an emphasis on using novel experimental methods coupled closely with theoretical modeling to address the material challenges in manufacturing processes.

Through the research and education platform, the lab provides an excellent training ground for undergraduate and graduate students, research associates, and visiting scholars to advance their critical thinking skills, independent research capabilities, and collaborative team-work experiences for responsible researches.

The Materials Processing and Characterization Lab is located in 228 Leonhard Building.
