Leonhard Knowledge Commons
Located in the first-floor lobby space of the Leonhard Building, The Leonhard Knowledge Commons provides students in the Harold and Inge Marcus Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering with a dedicated space to meet with peers, industry, and faculty.
The 6,200 square foot space features:
- Classroom and focus zone
- Gathering hub area
- Collaborative computing area
- Student printing corner
- Meeting room with video conferencing technology
- Five group study rooms
- Two recharge zones
Leonhard Knowledge Commons has been designed with sectional furniture that can be moved to create a more open space for lectures and other departmental events.
Located outside the Factory for Advanced Manufacturing Education lab, desk clusters equipped with 12 zero clients—which allow users to connect to the College of Engineering’s virtual desktop infrastructure—offer an open space for student groups to work on projects and more.
