Design Analysis Technology Advancement Lab
The focus of research conducted within the Design Analysis Technology Advancement (DATA) Lab is to explore data mining-driven approaches to solving complex engineering design problems.
This is accomplished by creating a synergistic methodology that incorporates the objectives of multiple domains—including data mining/machine learning, engineering design, manufacturing, etc.—into the realization of an optimal engineering design portfolio.
With the incorporation of predictive data mining and machine learning techniques, this research merges enterprise-level decision-making directly with engineering design to achieve the most sustainable design portfolio.
The DATA lab is directed by Conrad Tucker, associate professor of engineering design and industrial engineering, and is located in 242 Leonhard Building.
