
Human Subjects Testing Lab
The Human Subjects Testing Lab is a space shared by interdisciplinary faculty primarily in the human factors area for the testing of human subjects.
Located in 236A Leonhard Building, the lab is divided into a waiting area and two testing chambers, one of which is equipped with eye-tracking equipment.
A variety of experiments have been conducted in the Human Subjects Testing Lab, including:
- Measuring the effects of risk visualization representations on subject resource allocation strategies in a homeland defense task
- Estimating the physical workload imposed by wearing a respirator from heart rate changes and individual characteristics
- Evaluating user acceptance of new product feature upgrades
