Graduate Research Opportunities

Graduate Research Assistant

The Harold and Inge Marcus Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering is looking for an innovative graduate student to be part of a funded industrial engineering curriculum development research project titled “Product-Based Learning: Bundling Goods and Services.” 

The goal of this project is to identify and develop a set of complex products that bundle goods and services together and facilitate an integrated product-based learning approach throughout multiple core courses in our undergraduate curriculum.

Key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Develop and refine a set of potential products to be used in various courses under the mentorship of project faculty.
  • Interface with faculty and students to incorporate feedback and information into the product development. 

The ideal candidate will have:

  1. Interest in product design, manufacturing and services (e.g. supply chain activities)
  2. Some knowledge of CAD and manufacturing processes
  3. Good communication skills
